This blog is about building wealth and
becoming financially free through dividend stocks, but also through
rental income and other passive income. You don't have to be a pro to build wealth or achieve your personal financial goals, but
there are work and research involved. There's a lot of
information and ideas already available, so you can learn and get
ideas from other investors. You can also take advantage of all kind of useful services, tools and apps.
Here's a list of some resources that
I've found useful on my investing journey. Some of these resources help you save time while others save money or produce income. Each category below has an explanation as to how it might help you. You might want to check them out if
you already haven't.
Best Stock Screeners
Quality dividend growth stocks provide a growing stream of income. A well balanced and diversified portfolio consisting of dividend growth stocks provides you a continuous income stream. If you are looking for a reliable source of passive income you want to buy stocks of companies that increase their yields year after year.
Companies with stable business models, healthy balance sheets, rising cash flows and at least fair valuations are what you're looking for. You can take advantage of already published stock analysis but I suggest you do your own research first.
- DRIP Investing Resource Center is your number one choice when it comes to finding dividend growth stocks. They maintain a list of US Dividend Champions, Contenders and Achievers. You can also find a list of Canadian dividend All-stars and UK dividend Champions.
- Dividata tracks stocks that are about to go ex-dividend and provides unofficial free ratings on dividend stocks listed in Nyse and Nasdaq. You can also find an ex-dividend calendar.
- Nasdaq.com provides a database that contains dividend history of dividend stocks. Nasdaq.com provides also useful information about the dividend history for free. You can find how much was paid each quarter, previous ex-div dates and payment dates.
- Finviz is easy to use screener for dividend growth investors. Almost all features are available for free but with delayed data. You just have to know some basics about stock valuations and you'll be able to use the screener properly. With Finviz you'll find the stocks you are looking for. Google stock screener is a good alternative for Finviz especially if you like to use Google portfolio. You might also like stock screeneers like Zacks, YahooFinance, Reuters, TheStreet, Oldschoolvalue or Serenity Stocks.
Best Network for Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing where you promote products and earn for each sale you make. If you are looking for an extra source of income, affiliate marketing could be a great option for you. Affiliate marketing can produce you income but it's not easy money as you get only paid when people are interested in a product or service you endorse. So if you do it right, you can earn a nice amount of money.
ShareASale is a network that provides pay per click/lead/sale programs for bloggers and marketers. It is a program in which merchants register their products on ShareASale. Affiliates promote these products and get paid for each click, lead or sale depending on the program. ShareASale might be your choice because:
- ShareASale has been in the business for a long time and has a really good reputation.
- It has a wide range of finance, business, fitness, health, food & drink, clothing etc. affiliate programs
- It has almost 5.000 big and small brands as merchants so there's plenty to choose from.
- It has a responsive support service to help you and reliable payments.
- It also has a platform easy to use.
You only need a platform (blog, website, facebook etc.) to reach your audience so almost anyone can sign up to ShareASale. After joining ShareASale you can start promoting products. Some products require a approval from the product owner before you can join the program but usually, approval takes only a day or two.
ShareASale supports direct bank payments to many countries but if your country isn't one of them you can use Payoneer (they don't support PayPal). The minimum payout is somewhat high (50 USD) but it can be reached with reasonable efforts.
ShareAShale is one of the top affiliate marketing networks available so you might want to try it if you are looking some extra income. Signing up is really simple and can be done in a couple of minutes. If direct bank payments aren't available in your country, you can solve that problem by signing up to Payoneer. You can start earning passive income by joining ShareASale.
Best Productivity Tools
I'm sure we all have sometimes trouble with our to do tasks. Time really is money and that's why adding a time-saving tool might be a good idea.
Grammarly is an automated real-time grammar and spelling checker I use on a daily basis. It really helps non-native English writers like me but also native writers. After installing Grammarly you'll spend less time proofreading your texts.
Grammarly underlines your mistakes like Word or OpenOffice and explains why you have made a mistake. That way Grammarly will help you understand and remember its modifications and suggestions in order to improve your writing skills. You'll also receive reports about your accuracy in grammar, spelling, and vocabulary (Premium version).
The free version of Grammarly includes:
- Grammarly (online) editor: it allows you to store all your documents on it and access from any Computer. You can write your work with the online editor or just upload your already written texts into it.
- Browser version: it reads your Twitter, Instagram and Facebook messages and gives you instant Grammar tips. In other words, it goes through your blog posts, tweets and Facebook posts.
- Desktop version: You can just drag and drop your text files into the Grammarly icon and get your documents checked by Grammarly.
In my opinion, Grammarly is worth using. Haven't used the Premium version yet but I'm really happy to use the free version. If you are interested you can get Grammarly here.
Best Business Payment Solution
If you're looking to monetize your website/ blog or just looking for some extra income you are going to need a payment solution sooner or later. We all know PayPal but it is not supported by all services so you need a reliable alternative to it.
Payoneer is a service company that provides online money transfer and payment services. With Payoneer, you can receive and send funds into Payoneer bank account or Payoneer e-wallet. It provides bank payments in more than 200 countries. Companies like Airbnb, Amazon and Google use Payoneer to send payments and its also used by advertising networks.
If you are looking for passive income online you're most likely going to need Payoneer:
- Payoneer is the best alternative for PayPal (many services doesn't support PayPal).
- Receiving money: Receiving money in euros, British pounds and yen are free but Payoneer charges 1% when you receive money in US dollars.
- Withdraw money: Withdrawing money from your Payoneer account to a bank account will cost you 2% (using different currency) or 1,5 USD per transaction (using same currency).
Joining Payoneer is free and it makes it easy to receive payments. The fees Payoneer charge are quite high but you'll need it to receive your advertising income as PayPal doesn't cover your payment service needs alone. You can sign up for Payoneer here.
